June

June has not been as busy at May, but still. Violin and Choir ended, and then the Sparks had their (and my) last meeting. We had a ceremony for their advancement and even attempted tie-dye. My hands were multi-coloured for days. I will miss those sweet girls!

This past weekend was very busy. Daniel and I went to the ballet on Friday night, curtesy of their Dance Break program. Because we are under 29, we got seats worth $115 for $33. Ana amazing deal and one to keep in mind. Romeo and Juliet was beautiful and made me want to watch Shakespeare in Love.

Saturday morning Daniel and I drove to Guelph to spend the weekend going through my past it seemed. There were all kinds of events for Alumni weekend, but I only attended the RLS reunion.

The University unveiled this new addition to the corner of Gordon and Stone Road this weekend too. This beautiful Gryphon sits on a book and welcomes everyone to the city. I love it!

We spent the rest of the weekend doing some of my favorite things in Guelph. As we drove around the city I gave Daniel a bit of an unofficial tour and I was really glad he was seeing the city in the summer when all the beautiful trees and plants are at their best. Guelph is really a green town. We visited the Arboretum, the Boathouse Tea Room, and the Albion. I got to see Jamie and Melissa, as well as get some of my stuff back from someone. We camped at Guelph Lake because it was cheaper than a hotel and it's much more beautiful.

Can't wait to come back! Monday came too soon,

Tradition

We started a new tradition of going to High Park on Sunday. I should have taken more photos, the cherry blossoms are beautiful. Somehow I've never been to the park when they were blooming before.

How many men would read you Greek mythology in High Park?

One, that's how many.

Girl Guide Camp

What happens when 13 Sparks go to Girl Guide Camp, and 11 of them stay overnight for the first time?

You as an adult have an amazing weekend and a lot of goofy photos. Thank you ladies!

Easter

I totally forgot about the photos of Jayne's Birthday cake! Browned butter with Chocolate Cinnamon frosting.

There's a funny story about Jayne not getting to eat this cake at her party, but I won't embarrass her here. I had a good time mostly because I got to see an old friend.

Easter is a dinner event in my family. My Uncle and his family came over and we dyed eggs and had a hunt. My mother made an amazing dinner I'm looking forward to having for lunch tomorrow.

My mother was cleaning out her closet and made the mistake of putting all her sweaters on her bed and then walking away. Maggie thought they made a good nest.

More quilting, but it's still not done just yet. I think I have to take out two of the panels and switch them.

My grandmother's tea set has been sitting in the basement and it was so nice out, I decided to just polish it already.

It's so nice to be able to live in a time where I can talk to someone who is on the other side of the world face to face. There's nothing quite like catching up with someone you miss.

Niagara

My Mother and I went to Niagara-on-the-Lake for Friday night.  It was lovely to get away. We saw lots of chocolate, some Snowdrops in bloom, had a lovely afternoon tea at the Prince of Wales, some beautiful Irish sweaters, and saw Cabaret at the Shaw Festival.
