Christmas with little ones is just so great. My cousins and my cousins's daughters made this a great holiday at my grandparents house.

Finally some FO pictures. I love this shawl, it turned out exactly how I hoped.

Beauty

Almost all the leaves are gone now, thanks to the massive amounts of rain we had last week. I wish fall could stay longer, but it always ends like this. So here's to the leaves that are now on the ground, still beautiful in their own way.

I read a book once where a character comes into the world from heaven. Someone asks her if things are beautiful there and she says something like "Yes, but not in the same way things are beautiful here. Here, everything is beautiful because it eventually dies." I always remembered that since it's so true that things that don't last long are more beautiful.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was beautiful this year. I wore shorts in October, I couldn't believe it. I loved being home for the weekend, and even more, seeing my little cuzzies. Kennedy is getting so big these days, she will be taller than me next year. She follows her smaller siblings around, making sure they are happy and being played with.

Jack ran around playing ball with his dad and Julian. Sophie must have run around the house 6 times, she's so busy. The only time she sat still was to eat blueberries.

My cousin Mary just had her second daughter. Julia Evangeline Leah Smith was born Sept 30 at 5 pm. She is possibly the smallest thing I have held since my own brothers were born. She makes these adorable sounds in her sleep.

Arbs

My friends Nic and Mel just got engaged, which is just about the most exciting thing to happen to me in a long time. I couldn't be happier for them. As part of my wedding present, I offered to take some photos for them to mark this momentous occasion.
These are not photos of Nic and Mel. These are photos of my friends Janice and Mike, however, they are my practice couple. Also, they are very cute too.
It makes me happy when people feel comfortable showing their feelings for someone to me and my camera. It makes me even happier when I capture it so those feelings can be viewed in a photo.
